3.5 million Nigerians smoke daily - ERA

- The Environmental Rights Action/Friends of the Earth Nigeria (ERA/FoEN) has said that 3.5 million Nigerians consume tobacco daily - The group also said that out of that figure are 250,000 children between the ages of 10 and 14 years - ERA/FoEN added that 16,100 people die annually due to the consumption of tobacco products The Environmental Rights Action/Friends of the Earth Nigeria (ERA/FoEN) has revealed that 3.5 million Nigerians smoke tobacco products every day. - The federal government has renamed the federal teaching hospital Abakaliki to Alex Ekwueme University Teaching Hospital - Ahmed Ramalan, the chairman of the hospital’s board, said Isaac Adewole, the minister of health, gave the approval on behalf of the government - Ramalan said the request for the renaming was made by the university and the federal ministry of health graciously approved it The federal government has approved the renaming of Federal Teaching Hospital Abakaliki (FETHA) to Alex Ekwueme University Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki. Alhaji Ahmed Ramalan, the chairman of the hospital’s board, disclosed this on Wednesday, April 4, in Abakaliki while addressing newsmen. He said the renaming is with immediate effect. Ramalan said Isaac Adewole, the minister of health, gave the approval on behalf of the government as it is important to bring the action to the notice of the people of Ebonyi and Nigerians. The students, who attend Caro Favoured School in Ajegunle area of Lagos state, invented the traffic light for a competition. Kano government 32 science-based lecturers sponsors to France
