NDDC Probe: Akpabio Recants, Meets National Assembly Clerk, Panel

The Nigerian government has allegedly asked Nigerians to pay a fine of N356,000 if they are unable to pay an estimated N50,000 on arrival into the country for a repeat COVID-19 test. Bandits Kill Father, Abduct Son In Katsina

Some gunmen suspected to be bandits on Monday shot and killed one Alhaji Muntari Mai Yadi before kidnapping his son, Usman, at Yankara town under Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State. Sources said that the incident occurred at about 11:00pm. A son of the deceased, Younusa Mukhar Yankara, in a Facebook post confirmed the incident. One Killed As Gunmen Abduct Former US Army Personnel In Ekiti State

Suspected gunmen on Tuesday unleashed terror at Ijan Ekiti under Gbonyin Local Government Area of Ekiti State, killing a security guard.  The hoodlums also abducted a retired United States military officer, Jide Ijadare, and one other person.  Residents told journalists that Ijadare, a native of Ijan, was abducted at his oil-producing factory.  The incident came less than 48 hours after gunmen killed David Jejelowo, Director of Administration at Ekiti State Local Government Service Commission.  An eyewitness said that the assailants invaded the town in a commando-style.  He said the gunmen numbering about seven came in a saloon car and shot an employee of Ijadare before he was taken away.  “The gunmen came into the factory and started shooting at people before they kidnapped Major Ijadare into their vehicle,” the source said. Amotekun Arrest Herder In Ondo For Allegedly Destroying Cassava Farm

Officials of Amotekun Corps in Ondo have arrested a 20-year-old Fulani herder in the Okitipupa area of the state for allegedly destroying a cassava farm. Usman Abubakar was nabbed by the security officials after his cow feasted on the cassava farm.   SaharaReporters gathered that the cassava farm is valued at around N2m by the owner.
