Nigeria Has Lost Its Soul, Needs A Total Revolution For All-out Recalibration! By Frisky Larr

Frisky Larr When I got information, a few years ago, that people were paid up to Naira 250,000 each month by the Buhari administration, to beat the drums of support for the government on Social Media forums, I broke from my traditional habit of dismissing such information with absolute disregard. This is not because I considered the information true. I was just, not surprised enough to call it a gutter gossip. After all, the regime before his did, precisely, the same thing. In the months and weeks prior to hearing this information, I had had cause to be concerned about many people, who I personally thought, were cerebrally alert and enviable role models for the younger generations when they took to acting strange and suspicious with the positions they took on specific issues affecting either individuals of the Buhari regime or the regime in general. After all, I doubt, anyone will cast aspersions on my person for considering retirees of the news media (print or electronic) as en

Insecurity: Nigeria Is At War, But With Itself! By Abdullahi D Mohammed

Abdullahi D Mohammed Governments, the world over, as a matter of policy and governance prepared a to-do list, which is a policy document that guides and directs her actions in line with fulfilling campaign promises. There could be numerous of such policies, but, fundamentally,  education, national and human security, strengthening economy as well as healthcare system comes top of the list. In Nigeria however, 5years into the APC-led government, citizens are lost on the policy directions it adopted or prioritizes. Because, choosing from a handful of priorities in government is quite difficult, but again it remains the most effective and important aspect of governance. Undoubtedly, in governance, prioritization of policy is a pre-requisite for meaningful progress and attainment of goals and delivering on campaign promises. During the campaigns, the APC’s main focus was on three key areas — Security, Economy and fighting corruption. Five years into the administration, no end in si
