Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Desperation For Change-A Pathway To Destiny

Topic: Desperation For Change – A Pathway To Destiny [Seeds Of Destiny 16 August 2019 Devotional] Beloved, if you want God to drastically change your life, it takes desperation. Be desperate for a change because desperation is key to your destination. SCRIPTURE:  And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.  Genesis 32:28 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:  Nothing is ever conquered until something is confronted. Desperation is the feeling you have when you are in a situation that must be changed at all cost, that is, you are willing to take risks in order to change things. It is the feeling of needing or wanting something very drastically. To be desperate for change, therefore, is to be so tired of your present situation that you are willing to take a risk, if necessary to change it. It is important to understand that until there is a fight, there cannot be a flight; it takes a fight to take a flight

DCLM Daily Manna – Living To Eat

Topic: Living To Eat [DCLM Daily Manna 16 August 2019 Daily Devotional By Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi] Text:  Ecclesiastes 10:16-20 (KJV) 16 Woe to thee, O land, when thy king is a child, and thy princes eat in the morning! 17 Blessed art thou, O land, when thy king is the son of nobles, and thy princes eat in due season, for strength, and not for drunkenness! 18 By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through. 19 A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things. 20 Curse not the king, no not in thy thought; and curse not the rich in thy bedchamber: for a bird of the air shall carry the voice, and that which hath wings shall tell the matter. Key Verse:  “Blessed art thou, O land, when thy king is the son of nobles, and thy princes eat in due season, for strength, and not for drunkenness!”  (Ecclesiastes 10:17). Joyce Meyer – Reach Your Full Potential

Topic: Reach Your Full Potential [Joyce Meyer Devotional 16 August 2019] We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair —  2 Corinthians 4:8 (NIV) I fully believe that reaching your potential is linked to the way you handle adversity. Adversity isn’t always bad. Actually, adversity can be something to be thankful for because God can use it to strengthen you. Winston Churchill said, “Difficulties mastered are opportunities won,” and I wholeheartedly agree. If you allow difficulties and challenges to frustrate, intimidate, or discourage you, you will never overcome them. But if you face them head-on and press through the adversities you encounter, refusing to give up in the midst of them and move forward with a heart of gratitude, you will develop the skills and determination needed to be everything you were created to be and experience everything God intends for you. Prayer Starter:  I thank You, Father, that I don’t have to give up when I face adv

Nigerian-bornBritish heavyweight boxer, Anthony Joshua, has said that he does not have any respect for Lennox Lewis after the former pugilist criticised his preparation for the fight against Andy Ruiz Jr in New York in which Joshua lost. Lewis, according to Daily MailUK, was Britain's last undisputed heavyweight champion. In a tweet, Lewis had said, “I can't look at that fight and agree that AJ was fully prepared.” But reacting to the criticism in a Sky Sports documentary, Joshua said that he was a different person from Lewis and so does things his own way. He said, “Lennox is a clown. I don't respect Lennox. I and Lennox are not the same.  “My legacy is to sit back and enjoy the younger generation coming up, and not to be involved. Just to appreciate what it takes to get there. Lennox isn't like that.” Joshua is set to take on Ruiz in the rematch of their fight in Saudi Arabia on December 7. The IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight titles will be at stake during
