- Sanchez and Valencia are among the six squad members who the Norwegian wants to offload

Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is reportedly planning to overhaul his squad at the end of this season.

Solskjaer returned to Old Trafford on manager's capacity last December - replacing under-fire Jose Mourinho as the head coach of the club.

And he was impressive all through his interim reign, losing just about four matches in his first three months in charge of the team.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils have recorded poor results in the recent past, that have seen them slip to sixth on the Premier League standings.

Solskjaer is now expected to conduct a squad overhaul in the summer as he seeks to bring new legs to the club that can compete for titles.

The Norwegian is understood to have identified up to six squad members who need to be offloaded, including Alexis Sanchez and Antonio Valencia who have failed to strike a starting place under the tactician.

The 46-year-old is also said to be ready to part ways with defensive duo of Marcos Rojo and Matteo Darmian to boost his transfer kitty.

The former Molde FK manager is also keen to strengthen the centre-half with a new signing after Eric Bailly failing to impress him.

Midfielders Juan Mata and Ander Herrera is the other duo that could be shown the door in the summer despite being engaged in new contract talks with United.

Meanwhile, the UK Metro contend Solskjaer will be handed significant funds to bolster his squad regardless of whether the club qualify for the Champions League or not.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists Manchester United must win at least five of their remaining six EPL matches to qualify for Champions League next season.

The Red Devils suffered a 2-1 defeat to Wolves at the Molineux which dealt the club a major blow to their top four finish in the Premier League this season.

United would have been in third position if they had won and would have handed them a major boost to play in the elite competition next season.

Buhari’s Legacy Of Recessions By Fredrick Nwabufo

Fredrick Nwabufo ‘Why always Buhari?’ As it was in 1984 under General Buhari, so it is in 2016 and 2020 under President Buhari? Is it by the unfortunate hands of kismet that recession hits Nigeria every time Buhari takes charge of the country’s affairs? If the recession of the 80s under Buhari was a conspiracy by economic and political factors, to what do we attribute that of his first coming as a civilian President — and now in his second coming? Why does pestilence scourge the land, hunger ravage the population and lives lost malevolently when Buhari presides over the country? Why always Buhari? Buhari’s undoing is his wonted predilection for hierarchising ethnicity, religion and loyalty above competence. Since 1999, no President has obtrusively shown a more nepotistic aspect than Buhari. It is unarguable that the President arrays the most competence-challenged cabinet ever in the chronicle of governance in Nigeria. Yes, a recession cabinet. Fredrick Nwabufo Here is a cabin...
