Dickson Okechukwu, father of an 11-year-old girl, Favour, who was recently gang-raped in Lagos, has narrated how he found her corpse in a building on Olarewaju Street, Ejigbo, after a frantic search for her. Favour, a Junior Secondary School student, was sent on an errand to buy a carton of gala for her mother around 3:00pm on Wednesday. The deceased was said to have been lured into a building on Olarewaju Street where four men took turns to rape her.  She was suspected to have been gaged in the process, apparently to avoid raising the alarm. BREAKING: One Dead As APC, PDP Supporters Clash Again In Ondo Ahead Of Governorship Election

A yet-to-be identified man has been killed in Ondo State as supporters of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress and Eyitayo Jegede, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, again clashed ahead of the October 10 governorship election in the state. SaharaReporters gathered that the supporters of Akeredolu, who is seeking reelection, and Jegede engaged in a scuffle at Oba Nla area of Akure, the state capital, on Saturday night. The incident also left several persons injured while many vehicles were vandalised during the confrontation. Both PDP and APC have accused each other for causing the violence. The incident happened barely two weeks after eight people were injured in a clash between supporters of both parties. COVID-19: Nigerian Polytechnic To Rusticate Students Caught Kissing, Hugging And Exchanging Handshake

To make students strictly adhere to COVID-19 guidelines, the management of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, has threatened to rusticate students caught violating safety guidelines on campus. The tertiary institutions through its COVID-19 technical committee listed fines and punishment for students and staff, who violate the health safety guidelines while in the school premises. Donald Duke Former governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke, has condemned the Nigerian Government for engaging the Chinese in the infrastructural development of the country. Duke disclosed this on Saturday at an event to celebrate Nigeria’s 60th independence anniversary. Donald Duke Chinese companies are presently involved in multiple projects across the Nigeria, comprising the construction of airport terminals, roads and rails including inner-city light rails in Abuja and Lagos. Some of the projects include a $600m project for four international airport terminals.  Construction of the three major rail lines being built across the country.  They are Lagos-Kano (with another line from Kaduna to Abuja), Lagos-Calabar rail and Port Harcourt-Maiduguri rail, whose costs are put at $9bn, $11bn and $15bn, respectively. The Police Command in Akwa Ibom has confirmed the killing of six suspected armed robbers specialised in car snatching in the state and Cross River. Amiengheme Andrew, Commissioner of Police, stated this while parading the robbers in Uyo, the state capital. Akeredolu Collects N750m Monthly As Security Vote, N150m As Running Grant —Ondo Deputy Governor Says

Agboola Ajayi Agboola Ajayi, deputy governor of Ondo State and governorship candidate of Zenith Labour Party, on Saturday revealed that Governor Rotimi Akeredolu gets a security vote of N750m and an imprest of about N150m monthly.
