Protesters in Lagos calling for an end to police brutality in the county perpetrated by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad will spend a third night demonstrating, SaharaReporters can confirm. The protests, which started on Wednesday, have been peaceful, disrupted largely by officers of the Nigeria Police Force. The demonstrators will conduct sit-out overnight in front of the Lagos State House of Assembly in Alausa after vowing not to leave until SARS was disbanded. Truck Crushes Newly Married Woman, Three Others To Death In Kaduna

File Photo: Truck accident At least four persons including a newly married woman were killed when a truck loaded with sand ran into a motorcycle and tricycle waiting for traffic light at Kaduna Refinery Junction along Kachia Road under Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Though the cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained, eyewitness accounts, however, linked the incident to Kaduna State Traffic and Environmental Law Enforcement Agency staff. Four Abuja High Court Staff Die In Road Accident

About four persons have been reported dead in a road accident involving some staff of the Federal High Court, Abuja. The accident happened at Akwanga Road as they were returning to Abuja from a training program in Jos, Plateau State. Protesters Cordone Off Major Highways In Lagos, Demand End To Police Brutality

Protesters demanding an end to police brutality in Nigeria have cordoned off major roads in Lagos. The Lagos-Ibadan Expressway is currently experiencing heavy traffic after the protesters closed the Alausa section of the major highway, PUNCH reports. Part of Secretariat bus-stop opposite Magodo Phase II was also barricaded by the protesters, causing traffic to spill to Otedola Bridge. President Buhari, IGP, Yet To Address Nigerians 72 Hours After Protest Erupted In Cities Nationwide Over Police Brutality

The Nigerian Government is yet to address citizens after protests erupted in cities around the country since Wednesday over police brutality and other rights violations. The protesters, who took to streets in Lagos, Abuja, Osun, Benin and other parts of the country, are demanding the complete disbanding of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, a unit of the police notorious for harassing and extorting citizens. The police in a bid to quell the protest on Friday opened fire on peaceful demonstrators in Abuja, Delta and parts of Lagos. President Muhammadu Buhari is yet to address the grievances of the protesters more than 72 hours after the agitations began. BREAKING: Thief Breaks Into Lawmaker’s Office Inside National Assembly Complex, Steals US Dollars, Office Equipment

A young man identified as Kabiru on Friday beat security checks at the National Assembly complex to gain entry into the office of a member of the House of Representatives and carted away dollars and other valuable items in the process. The incident happened at 2:30pm when the suspect allegedly sneaked into another lawmaker’s office located on the fourth floor of the Assembly complex using a master key. The suspect reportedly made away with the hard currency and some other office equipment including computers, photocopy machine and printer. SaharaReporters gathered that Kabiru was a Special Assistant to one lawmaker from Adamawa State and was known by many people in the complex. He was said to have been identified by security operatives, who analysed the footage before he was arrested. NDLEA Officer Mistaken For Kidnapper Burnt To Death In Adamawa State

Samuel Abba Birma, an officer of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, been burnt to death on mistaken identity in Adamawa State. Birma popularly known as Mbakwe, was killed while his colleague sustained fatal injury by mob action in Hong Local Government Area of the state, according to police report. Nigerian youth protesting extrajudicial activities by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the police have raised the alarm by the Lagos State Police Command to kill them. The protesters, who are embarking on a three-day demonstration, stormed the Lagos State Assembly on Thursday afternoon.
