Medics from St John Ambulance on Wednesday, March 13, came to the rescue of a pregnant Nairobi woman who had given birth at Uhuru Park . Legit.ng has learnt that 20-year-old Rebecca Atieno was taking a rest at the park but broke into labor moments later. In a statement, St John Ambulance Kenya said its team of rescuers intervened shortly after Atieno's water broke. The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ondo state has denied reports that some of its personnel killed a suspect, Rasak Ahmed, while in custody. The public relations officer of the Ondo state's NSCDC command, Samuel Oladapo, said the command decided to react after it was reported in some national dailies that it allegedly beat Ahmed, a middle-aged man, to death in its custody. Oladapo said the deceased was allegedly arrested for having carnal knowledge of his eight-year-old daughter in Akure, the state capital. He said the suspect was arrested on Sunday following a complaint by his son, Ibrahim, that his father was having intercourse with his sister. A Twitter user identified as @omogedami has stirred up an interesting debate on social media after she stated that all clothing should be gender neutral. The young lady who seems to be gender non-conformist had some male social media users totally confused when she suggested that men should wear skirts and it is even better for them because it will allow their testicles breathe. While her argument can be accepted logically, societal standards definitely rubbishes it. However her position is a result of the current shift in gender roles which is gradually taking over the world.
