#ENDSARS: Despite Video Evidence, Nigerian Army Denies Shooting Peaceful Protesters

Despite video and pictorial evidence, the Nigerian Army has denied opening fire and killing peaceful #ENDSARS protesters at Lekki , Lagos. The army said this while reacting to a report by SaharaReporters that soldiers shot peaceful demonstators. “No soldiers were at the scene,” the Nigerian Army said via its official Twitter handle. Over 10 people have been reportedly killed while many had been left with gunshot injuries after soldiers launched the deadly attack on Tuesday night to disperse the youth. Some victims of gunshot by soldiers have been evacuated and being treated at hospitals on Lagos Island. The victims are being treated at Reddington and Lagoon hospitals. Three banks have been set ablaze in Admiralty Way, Lekki, Lagos State, by armed thugs. The affected banks are Polaris, Guaranty Trust Bank and Access Bank, the Punch reports. Shopping malls, businesses and shops are also being looted by thugs in the area. #ENDSARS: Lagos Government Confirms Killing Of Protesters In Lekki

The Lagos State Government has confirmed the killing of peaceful #ENDSARS protesters in the Lekki area of the city. SaharaReporters had reported that not less than nine persons have been killed with many left injured when the Nigerian Army opened fire on peaceful protesters. UPDATE: Three Persons Killed In Ibadan As Thugs Hijack Peaceful #ENDSARS Protest

Three persons have been confirmed dead as police and thugs clashed during the #ENDSARS protest in Oyo State on Tuesday. Trouble started after the police opened fire on hundreds of youth during the demonstration. A youth was shot dead while an angry mob attacked the policemen, who caused the incident, an eyewitness told SaharaReporters. “Two policemen were killed by the angry residents, especially bus drivers at Ojo. “They also burnt a police station and other officers had to run away because the people were angry,” the eyewitness said.
