The Kaduna State Police Command has paraded some youths who were allegedly behind the aborted maiden edition of a sex party in the state. The youths had advertised the event on social media platforms, revealing that the sex party was scheduled to hold on December 27, 2020 at an undisclosed location in the state capital.  The invitation detailed that participants, male and female, were expected to be naked as no clothes would be allowed at the venue Also, the party which was slated to start at 8 pm, would last till daybreak to allow participants interested in having sex during the party to do so.  The invite stated that interested participants would have to pay N2,000 (for the popular side) and 3,000 naira or 5,000 naira (for VIP).  Speaking to journalists on Thursday, one of the promoters of the event, said, “Kaduna Sex Party started as a joke between me and my friends; it was not meant to go public. Lagos CP Hakeem Odumosu. The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, has said he did not order the closure of churches in the state. Odumosu had in an earlier statement, on Thursday, instructed policemen to enforce all protocols by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, including the restriction of movement between 12am and 4am. The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission has said it is awaiting the outcome of an investigation into the killing of a 27-year-old Nigerian, Mr George Nkencho, in Dublin, Ireland, by the police, while expressing dissatisfaction with the incident.  The NIDCOM Chairman, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, described the killing as “callous” in a statement on Thursday.  A statement by NIDCOM Head of Media, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, said Dabiri-Erewa also described the death of the young Nigerian by a police officer as “wicked”. The Nigerian military has neutralised several bandits in the Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, the state government said on Thursday. A statement by the state Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, said they were informed about the attack by the military “in an operational feedback”.  The statement reads, “In the feedback, some rustled cattle were affected following an air offensive by the air component of Operation Thunder Strike, a Defence Headquarters’ response to banditry in some locations in the state.” According to the report, while on aggressive patrol involving air raids over several locations in Giwa and Igabi local government areas, some armed bandits with several herds of cattle were sighted at a location northwest of Kuduru Forest in the Birnin Gwari Local Government Area.  The air platform reportedly engaged the bandits and subsequently neutralised several of them, with some of the cattle also affected.  S

At least two people were killed and about two others injured in a cult war involving rival cult groups in Luubara Community, Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State. A native of the community, Nwibani Barry, told Guardian that gunmen invaded the community at around 8pm and proceeded to a beer parlour near the market square where they opened fire on the revellers. He added that the victims, Timothy Baridapdo and Bariya, died on the spot while two ladies, who sustained gunshot injuries, were taken to the hospital by the Divisional Police Officer of Bori Division. The family of 27-year-old Nigerian, shot dead by the Irish local police, gardaí, in Dublin on Wednesday have appealed to people not to share footage of the incident online. George Nkencho (27), was shot dead by Gardaí, local police, during an incident in west Dublin. The video of the shooting is trending. According to TheJournal, Ireland, the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission (GSOC), is investigating the incident. In a statement, Mr Nkencho’s sister, Gloria, said her brother was “suffering from serious mental illness and those who knew him know the type of person he was; he was not a thug nor a criminal”. “Thank you all for your condolences and prayers. A man identified as Muhammed on Thursday reportedly set himself on fire at the Government Forgiveness Garden, Jos, Plateau State. SaharaReporters gathered that the incident occurred around 7:30am. “He came in a Keke NAPEP (commercial tricycle) around 7 am and sat somewhere inside the Forgiveness Garden for about 30 minutes, after which he went on to pour fuel on his body and set himself ablaze,” a source said. The source said relatives of the victim, including his parents, later arrived at the scene of the incident and started crying after seeing his body. It was gathered that Muhammad had a problem with his father on Wednesday. The source added that police had evacuated the victim to the hospital to confirm if he was dead.
