Hisbah Arrests 19 Women In Kano Over Alleged Immorality

The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested 19 women over alleged involvement in “immoral acts” in the Kano metropolis. The Commandant, Kano State Hisbah Board, Dr Haruna Ibn-Sina, confirmed the arrest in a statement signed by Mallam Lawal Ibrahim, Public Relations Officer of the board in Kano on Wednesday. He said the suspects were apprehended on January 19, at around 9:00 pm at Nasarawa Park and Green Restaurant while consuming intoxicants along the Ahmadu Bello Way. He said the arrest was based on directives given by the state government on a fresh ban on the activities of viewing and event centres across the state due to the spread of COVID-19 cases. “All the 19 suspects are females and aged above 20. “Eighteen of the suspects are first-time offenders, while the remaining one had once been arrested,” he said. 12-Year-Old Pupil Impregnated By Katsina Vice Principal Puts To Bed

A Vice Principal of a secondary school in the Rimi Local Government Area of Katsina State, Ibrahim Tukur, has been arrested by the police for impregnating one of the pupils in the school. The pupil, a 12-year-old girl, has been delivered of a baby. According to The PUNCH, Tukur and other suspects were paraded at the Katsina Police Command headquarters on Wednesday. All the suspects alleged to have committed rape-related offences were arrested between January 9 and 14, 2021. 20-year-old Nigerian Kidnaps Father, Gets N200,000 As Share From N2million Ransom

The Nigeria Police Force has arrested a 20-year-old man, Abubakar Amodu, for masterminding the abduction of his father. Amodu was one of the 25 suspects paraded by the Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, for various offences in Abuja on Wednesday. Amodu said he was lured into the act by members of a gang who told him that his father was rich, and should be kidnapped for money. He confessed to arranging with the gang to carry out the abduction.
