Borno First-class Monarch, Shehu Of Dikwa Is Dead

The Shehu of Dikwa, Borno State, Alhaji Mohammed Ibn Shehu Masta II El-Kanemi, is dead. SaharaReporters gathered that the monarch died in the early hours of Saturday at a private hospital in Abuja after suffering from an undisclosed ailment. The late monarch’s funeral prayers are expected to hold at Shehu Palace in Maiduguri on Saturday. This is the third in the series of high-profile deaths in Borno State within short intervals, after those of Shehu of Bama and Emir of Biu in 2020. Former Governor Ali Modu Sheriff appointed the late El-Kanemi in 2010 as Shehu of the newly created Dikwa Emirate. That appointment split the 100 years old Dikwa Emirate into two: Bama and Dikwa Emirates. The old Dikwa Emirate was made up of four local government areas: Bama, Ngala, Dikwa and Kala- Balge with 24 districts with the palace in Bama town. Oyo CP Ngozi Onadeko The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has advised the Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, Ngozi Onadeko, not to superintend over the arrest and killing of a popular Yoruba activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, otherwise known as Sunday Igboho, and other agitators over the continuous herdsmen attacks. With his trademark suspenders and deep baritone voice, Larry King spoke with presidents, world leaders, celebrities, authors, scientists, comedians, athletes — everyone. Herdsmen: Arewa Consultative Forum Reacts To Violence In Oyo

The Arewa Consultative Forum has decried the violence against Fulani communities and herders in Oyo State which led to the burning of the houses and property of the Seriki Fulani, Alhaji Saliu Abdulkadir, warning that this was how the 1966 Civil War gathered momentum. The ACF National Publicity Secretary, Emmanuel Yawe, in an interview with SaharaReporters, noted that it was a “dangerous trend” and not good for the existence of the country while calling for restraint on all sides. Soldiers Escort Herdsmen To Ogun Villages, Torture Residents For Rejecting Herders

There is tension in the Ketu-speaking villages in the Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State after soldiers escorted herdsmen to graze in the communities, and brutalised some residents in defence of the herders. IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has told Yoruba youths that the security of their lives and property, including those of their parents is their responsibility. Amotekun Arrests Four Suspected Kidnappers In Ekiti
