Nigerians have reacted to the victory of Governor Gboyega Oyetola after the appeal court nullified the judgement of the election tribunal which declared Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) winner of the election. The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja had on Thursday, May 9, ruled in favour of Oyetola , in the Osun 2018 governorship election case. The election tribunal judgment had earlier ruled in favour of Senator Adeleke, declaring him winner of the election. The Appeal Court sitting in Abuja has ruled in favour of Osun state governor, Gboyega Oyetola, in the Osun 2018 governorship election case. The election tribunal judgment had earlier ruled in favour of Senator Ademola Adeleke, declaring him winner. Oyetola, his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had filed substantive appeals, seeking the setting aside of the decision of the tribunal. Adeleke had also filed a cross-appeal, challenging a portion of the decision.
