Over 100 Million Nigerians Jobless -Ngige

The Nigerian Government has said that at least 100 million citizens are jobless with many of them unemployable. Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, made the disclosure while speaking at the 2019 National Migration Dialogue at the State House, Abuja, on Tuesday. Ngige decried the rate at which youths were leaving the country, adding that skilled Nigerians should be exported. He said, “Nigeria is over 200 million and about 60 per cent are youths who need employment. Unfortunately, only 10 per cent have decent jobs. “Many are unemployable while others are not employed.  "We are working that they get job so that they can have a roof over their heads, feed and enjoy life. “We have established linkages with the Ministry of Education, Industry, Trade and Investment, Youth and Sports, and Agriculture.  "We want to look at our curriculum so that our people can have skills that can be exported.”    Jobs Politics News AddThis :  Original Author :  Sa

Oma – God’s Love

The year is almost over and yet great songs still keep coming in! Notwithstanding, this month shares a beautiful melody produced by  Skytimz  titled  “God’s Love”  by  Mabel Ashioma , also known as  Oma . Oma is a worshipper and a recording artiste who hails from Delta state. She comes out again to feed our gospel minds with a song of praise, which she says it’s not just a song but a sacrifice, an offering unto God . In her words she describes the song alongside scriptural references: “It’s a cry of the spirit voiced out in a song , an invite to come partake of the love of the father , a revival to rekindle our love life. It’s also a change of love story, a call to love and be loved and a reminder of God’s love. God is love and He gave because of love so we give Him back our lives for all we are belongs to Him. Money that is a defense fails as well as prophecy but God’s love never fail – 1 Cor.13:8 . I bring to you a currency that never fails and weapon of rescue which is Praise

Reason Kalu Can’t Be Granted Bail —EFCC

Anti-graft agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, has explained why convicted former governor of Abia State, Orji Kalu, cannot be granted bail. On Tuesday, Kalu’s counsel, Mr Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), had informed the court of a bail application he filed on behalf of the former governor seeking to be released on bail pending the outcome of his appeal against the judgment. However, EFCC counsel, Mr RotimI Jacobs (SAN), opposed the bail application, according to the News Agency of Nigeria.  “Although bail is generally a right of an accused as guaranteed by the constitution, it is not a right available to a convict because the presumption of innocence had crystallised into guilt and conviction,” he said. According to Jacobs, an application for bail pending appeal is sparingly granted. He said that such a bail could be granted in a situation where the term of imprisonment would have elapsed before determination of the appeal. He argued that that was not the situatio

PDP Tackles Buhari, APC Over N37bn National Assembly Renovation Fund

The Peoples Democratic Party has condemned the N37bn earmarked for the renovation of the National Assembly. The PDP described the amount as “an unpardonable rip-off plot and a last straw of the brazen corruption that pervades the President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressives Congress administration.” The party says it is indefensible for the Buhari Presidency to propose N37bn for renovation work on the National Assembly complex, which was built at a cost of N7bn. PDP noted that the money was embedded in the budget of the Federal Capital Development Authority as approved by President Buhari. In a statement by PDP's National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, the party posited that the figure was not only sacrilegious but also confirms that the APC-led administration was “overtly corrupt and only out to steal, drain and divert our national resources for selfish purposes of certain individuals in the present administration.” It added, “The party insists that suc

Super Science Stories

Super Science Stories . Super Science Stories was an American pulp science fiction magazine published by Popular Publications. Frederik Pohl (pictured) did most of the editing from 1940 to 1943, and the title was revived from 1949 to 1951 with Ejler Jakobsson as editor. Popular gave Pohl a very low budget, and he wrote many of the stories himself. Most of the submitted manuscripts had already been rejected by other magazines, but he was able to acquire stories for the early issues from the Futurians, a group of young science fiction fans and aspiring writers. Super Science Stories was an initial success, and Pohl managed to obtain stories by writers who later became well known, such as Isaac Asimov and Robert Heinlein. When Jakobsson took over, he ran many reprinted stories. Although the magazine was never regarded as one of the leading titles of the genre, science fiction historian Raymond Thompson describes it as "one of the most interesting magazines to appear during the 1940s
