Bandits Kill Senior Army Officer, Two Soldiers In Katsina

Gunmen A senior army officer and two soldiers have been killed by bandits in Unguwar Doka Village under Faskari Local Government Area of Kastina State. According to reports from the area, the soldiers, who were on routine patrol, ran into an ambush by the bandits, which led to their death. Gunmen Google Brigadier General Benard Onyeuko, Acting Director, Defence Media Operations, confirmed the incident in a statement on Friday. Onyeuko said, “They successfully cleared the village of the marauders to the admiration of the locals. Ekiti Governor, Fayemi, Dismisses Suspension By APC Faction

Kayode Fayemi Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State has dismissed his purported suspension by a faction of the All Progressives Congress. Fayemi, Chairman of Nigerian Governors Forum, was suspended from the party due to alleged anti-party activities especially his role in the recently concluded governorship election in Edo State, which the APC says is contrary to the provisions of Article 21 (A) (ii) of its constitution. Kingmakers of Zazzau Emirate have picked Iyan Zazzau, Bashir Aminu, as successor to the late Emir, Shehu Idris, who died on Sunday at the age of 84, SaharaReporters has gathered. Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has said that the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, ordered him to leave Edo State on the eve of the September 19 governorship election.
