NCFront Supporters To Stage Solidarity Rally In Abuja For Na’aba Over DSS Invitation

Ghali-Na’Abba Supporters of National Consultative Front will on Monday in Abuja stage a solidarity rally to escort former Speaker House of the Representatives, Ghali Umar Na’aba, to headquarters of the Department of State Services. Na’aba was summoned by the agency over the interview he granted on Channels Television on Thursday on plans by his group to bring about a new Nigeria that will work for all. How Ibadan Suspected Serial Killer Murdered Another Woman Shortly After Escape From Police Custody

The prime suspect in connection with incessant ritual killings of residents of Akinyele area of Ibadan in Oyo State, Sunday Shodipe, who escaped from police custody, has killed another woman in the community. The incident occurred on Saturday when the fugitive sneaked into the room of a woman identified as Funmilayo (Iya Ibeji) and smashed her head with an object believed to be a cutlass. A friend of the victim was said to have alerted neighbours, who rushed her to a private hospital, where they stitched her head but later referred her to the University College Hospital because of the severity of the injuries. She was also rejected because of lack of bed space. Musa Mante Baraza, a member of representing Dass constituency in the Bauchi state House of Assembly. Another Man Chained By Father In Kano Rescued

An unidentified 32-year-old man has been rescued by the police after being locked up in a room by his father at Sheka neighborhood in Kano for 15 years. The victim was said to have been chained and caged for an undisclosed reason by his parents. He was said to have lost his physical strength and was emaciated when he was rescued and was immediately rushed to Nasarawa Hospital in Kano. The Oyo State Police Command has announced the escape of a suspected serial killer, Sunday Shodipe, connection with ritual killings of people at the Akinyele area of Ibadan, Oyo State. IGP Orders Nationwide Clampdown On Proliferation Of Prohibited Firearms Ahead Of Edo, Ondo Elections

IGP Mohammed Adamu As part of preparations towards the governorship elections in Edo and Ondo states as well as efforts by the police high command to curb the proliferation of prohibited firearms in the country, the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has ordered Commissioners of Police across the country to immediately initiate appropriate actions to identify, arrest and prosecute any individual(s) or group(s) in possession of prohibited firearms.  In a statement, Force spokesperson, Frank Mba, said that the directive had become necessary following the need to curb the spread of dangerous weapons in the country.
