Police Confirm Three People Killed In Oyo Community, Doctor Kidnapped

The Oyo State Police Command on Sunday confirmed that a businesswoman and two nine-year-old cousins were killed by gunmen in the state. The command also confirmed that a man known as Dr. Akindele in Tapa in the Ibarapa North Local Government Area of the state was abducted. The three were at Idere in the Ibarapa Central Local Government Area of the state.  The police commissioner in the state, CP Joe Nwachukwu Enwonwu, in a statement issued by the state Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Olugbemiga Fadeyi, said some suspects had been arrested through the collaborative efforts of the police, vigilantes, and hunter’s.  He added that investigation had commenced and its outcome would be made public in due time. Nigerian Man Tobiloba Kehinde Pleads Guilty To Romance Scam In US

A Nigerian, Tobiloba Kehinde, has pleaded guilty in a U.S. District Court for his role as a money launderer in a romance scam that defrauded multiple victims, including elder Americans, of millions, U.S. Attorney Trent Shores has said. Kehinde, 28, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit money laundering before the U.S. District Court Judge Gregory K. Frizzell.  FBI Kehinde’s sentencing hearing is set for March 29, 2021. “In the last year, Americans were defrauded out of more than $200 million due to romance scams. Prof Oyewusi Ibidapo-Obe A former Vice-Chancellor, University of Lagos, Akoka, Professor Oyewusi Ibidapo-Obe, has died at 71. He died on Sunday in Lagos. Prof Oyewusi Ibidapo-Obe Though there are reports that he died of COVID-19, it could not be immediately confirmed if this is true or not.
