Wife of Slain Journalist Allegedly Killed During Shiite Protest By Police Accuses IGP Of Frustrating Investigation

Late Alex Ogbu and wife with baby Francisca, the wife of slain journalist Alex Ogbu, has accused the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, and FCT Commissioner of Police, Bala Ciroma, of cover-up and attempting to frustrate the investigation surrounding the death of her husband. She alleged that they planned to delay the investigation so that she would lose interest in the matter. Sotitobire: Church Members Vow To Appeal Life Imprisonment Slammed On Prophet

Some members of Sotitobire Miracle Centre, Akure, Ondo State have kicked against the life imprisonment passed on the founder of the Church, Prophet Alfa Babatunde, by the state High Court. Earlier this month, the court found Babatunde guilty over the disappearance of a toddler, Gold Eniola Kolawole, in his church last November, alongside five other members of the church. Magu The Presidential panel set up to probe the suspended acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu, has begun a physical verification of all assets seized by the EFCC, The PUNCH reports. The panel, led by a former President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Ayo Salami, has visited Lagos, Abuja, Rivers State and a few other major offices of the commission.
