Ethiopia’s Tigray Crisis Worsens As Rocket Hits Eritrea’s Airport

Debretsion Gebremichael, President of Ethiopia’s Tigray region, has said his forces in Saturday night launched rocket attacks on Eritrea’s airport as conflict in the area escalates. Gebremichael says the attack was due to the Ethiopian national forces using the airport to launch attacks on Tigray. Al Jazeera The attack is viewed as the biggest escalation so far in the 12-day conflict between the Ethiopian Government and the governing party in Tigray amid fears that the crisis will spill over into neighbouring African countries. Policeman In Benue Allegedly Rapes 13-year-old Girl

A policeman in Benue State has allegedly raped a 13-year-old girl in Ayilamo community under Logo Local Government Area of Benue State. The incident triggered unrest by community members, who reportedly vandalised the windows and doors of the police station.  The accused policeman was rescued and taken away by his colleagues. Wuam Hilega, a community leader in the area recounting the incident said, “One Inspector Joseph allegedly raped the girl schooling around Tombo Ward, Ayilamo. “The incident happened around 5:00pm on Thursday. The new numbers show that the Federal Capital Territory had the most cases with 27, followed by Oyo State also with 27 cases. Kidnappers Attack, Abduct Travellers In Ondo

Nigerian Troops Kill Bandits, Cattle Rustlers In Kaduna, Says Defence Headquarters

The Defence Headquarters on Saturday said the Air Component of Operation Thunder Strike has disrupted activities of cattle rustlers in Kwiambana Forest area in Kaduna State, killing several bandits. Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. John Enenche, in a statement said the airstrikes, which took place on November 12, 2020, were carried out following reports that close to a 100 bandits armed with high-caliber weapons on motorcycles had rustled a large number of cattle and other livestock from Dankolo and Machitta villages.
