Mahdi Shehu A Kaduna State-based businessman, Alhaji Mahdi Shehu, has revealed in a viral video how 24 young police recruits were each defrauded of N700,000. In the video, Shehu claimed that the recruits were illegally detained on the orders of the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu. Police Ask Foreigners To Be Vigilant As Gunmen Kidnap Two Indians In Oyo

The Oyo State Police Command on Sunday asked foreigners in the state to be vigilant as they go about their daily activities. Two Indians nationals were kidnapped at a pharmaceutical shop, close to  Top One restaurant in Podo area of Ibadan, the state capital on Wednesday.  Since Wednesday,  the whereabouts of the two foreigners are still unknown as their captors have yet to get across to their company and families in the state. Eyewitnesses told SaharaReporters that the two foreigners were trailed from the company to the pharmaceutical shop before opening fire on their vehicle’s tyres which forced the cars to a halt. The sources noted that the two foreigners were first robbed of their cash and other possessions before they were whisked away by their abductors. Bandits Kill 12, Abduct 10 In Fresh Attack On Katsina Communities

Gunmen suspected to be bandits have attacked Yar Kuka village in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State, killing 12 people and abducting many others. According to Daily Trust, a resident of the village whose daughter was kidnapped said the bandits invaded the town on Thursday around 9:30 pm and started shooting indiscriminately. He said 12 people were killed while six women were abducted. “Three of the abducted women are married, and my daughter is one, while the remaining three are young girls.” The gunmen also attacked Dan Ali village in Danmusa Local Government Area where they abducted a retired Education Officer identified as Sani Skido. A resident of the village said the attackers, who came at around midnight, shot at the door of the room where the victim was hiding in his house.
