Another Adamawa Lawmaker Sacked By Tribunal For Certificate Forgery

The Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Yola, Adamawa State, on Monday sacked another lawmaker of the All Progressives Congress, Musa Bororo, for certificate forgery. Bororo was sacked over inconsistencies in his names as reflected on different documents submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission. Before the tribunal ruling, Bororo represented Mubi South in the Adamawa State House Assembly. Delivering the verdict, Justice Akanbi held that Bororo presented documents with conflicting names to INEC and therefore ruled that “Musa Umar” was not the same as “Musa Bororo”. Justice Akanbi went ahead to order INEC to issue certificate of returned to Yakubu Dirbishi of the Peoples Democratic Party as winner of the election for the position. Reacting to the ruling, Bororo disclosed that he will challenge the judgement at the appellate court. Kogi: SDP Candidate Vows Not To Leave INEC Headquarters Over Plans To Disqualify Her

Candidate of the Social Democratic Party in the Kogi State governorship election, Natasha Akpoti, has vowed to remain at the office of Independent National Electoral Commission in Abuja following plans to disqualify her from the contest. Sowore: Flood Abuja High Court In Large Numbers, AAC Urges Supporters

The African Action Congress has called on members and supporters to storm the Federal High Court in Abuja to show solidarity for its National Chairman, Omoyele Sowore. Sowore is set to appear in court on Tuesday after the Nigerian Government slammed a seven-count charge on him. In a message to all AAC members, the National Organising Secretary, Comrade Oshioks, stated that the move will send a strong message to the government for infringing on Sowore’s right.
