World's richest man agrees to record-breaking divorce of N12.5trn

- Amazon founder and world's richest man, Jeff Bezos and wife, MacKenzie have agreed to part ways with record-breaking N12.5 trillion in divorce settlements

- Jeff Bezos is said to be worth N53 trillion and got married to MacKenzie in 1993

- The couple who have four children have chosen to part ways amicably and remain supportive of each other

Reports reaching Legit.ng highlight the record-breaking divorce settlement of world's richest man, Jeff Bezos and his partner of 26 years, MacKenzie which is set at N12.5 trillion.

It was gathered that the couple who tied the knot in 1993 and are parents to four children have agreed to the divorce settlement which now places Mackenzie as the world's third-richest woman and still leaves Jeff in the position of the world's richest man, according to Forbes.

Bezos fortune emerged from Amazon, an American multinational technology company, which he started in 1994 in his home garage, a year after tying the knot with Mackenzie. As his partner, Ms Bezos was the first employee at the company and they both worked hard to watch it rise to staggering heights.

Based on her contribution, Mz Bezos is entitled to a 4 percent stake at the company which today is worth N12.5 trillion. Amazon is now a vast online retail business which in 2018 alone generated sales of N83 trillion.

The couple both tweeted about their divorce and both sounded supportive of each other even as they part ways.

Interestingly, MacKenzie only recently joined Twitter and her first and only tweet is about the divorce.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year. This did not however, materialize. According to the release, the project will have a four to five-year execution time after the signing of the FID. The project is expected to add an extra 8 million tons per annum of gas to the 22 mtpa currently exported by the company. Oil News AddThis :
