Pogba gives Man United the 1 condition that will make him reject Real Madrid

- Paul Pogba and Manchester United will begin new contract talks in the coming week

- It is understood that the Frenchman wants to be earning the same wage as Alexis Sanchez

- Manchester United are looking to keep Real Madrid away from the France international

Paul Pogba is set to begin new contract talks with Manchester United to fend off interest from Real Madrid.

But the France international wants a mouth-watering £500,000 a week to put him on the same level with United's highest paid player, Alexis Sanchez.

Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is poised to sign his fellow countryman and Chelsea's Eden Hazard in the next transfer window.

But while Pogba is understood to be flattered by the prospect of moving to the Bernabeu, United are ready to do everything within their power to keep the Frenchman.

This means that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's major task as manager is to secure the 26-year-old's future on a long term basis at Old Trafford.

Pogba has two years left in his current deal at the Theatre of Dreams with an option to extend for a further 12 months.

But United will be looking to extend Pogba's deal for another three years which will keep the World Cup winner at the club until 2024.

Pogba's superagent Mino Raiola is aware his client is in high demand and will stretch the Red Devils to the limit when negotiations begin in the coming week.

The midfielder currently earns £300,000 a week, significantly less than flop Sanchez’s £505,000 and any new deal would need a huge wage increase

Raiola is aware of Solskjaer’s desperation to keep Pogba with United set to lose out-of-contract pair Ander Herrera and Juan Mata in the summer.

Meanwhile, Sanchez’s disastrous season at Old Trafford is on the brink of ending if United can find a buyer for the struggling Chilean.

The 2018 World Cup winning midfielder recently said that it would be "a dream for anyone" to play under Zinedine Zidane at the Santiago Bernabeu.
