The clamour to end police and Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) brutality has become even more pronounced after a young Nigerian man, Kolade Johnson’s life was cut short by a trigger happy officer.

His death made Nigerians speak up with one voice against the organisation as they called for action from the government. Some entertainers also lent their voice to the cause.

Legit.ng previously reported that the Police Force has dismissed the young man’s killer but there is understandable fear that the case might be forgotten.

Nigerian rapper, Ruggedman, revealed on his social media page that he will follow up the case till the killers are arraigned in court and sentenced accordingly to their crime.

He wrote: "We will all follow this case till these killers are arraigned in court and sentenced accordingly for the crime of murder.

Let this be the last time Nigerians will allow anybody get away with murder.

Let this be the start of the @nigerianpoliceforce holding their men accountable for their actions.

You do not throw another family into mourning and go home to yours.

You do not kill innocent people and lie to cover it.

It will no longer be business as usual for any police officer that kills an innocent person in cold blood.

We will no longer allow rogue officers kill innocent people and get away with it.

We are all Nigerians and must show that nobody is above the law.

Ruggedman has been very vocal about reforming the Nigerian police force and some Nigerians see him as a good person to call on for help when faced with police brutality.

In other news, Legit.ng reported that the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Yomi Shogunle, blocked Ruggedman on social media over his tweet on the death of Kolade Johnson.

Sharing the news that he had been blocked, Ruggedman said: "Look who just blocked me because I said I am waiting on his tweet about an innocent man killed by a SARS officer. What a shame. If it's a dumb tweet or act he will be fast to comment. We bring you a serious case and you keep mute and block people. What a disgrace to @PoliceNG"
