Beautiful moment SA man bestowed his degree on great-grandmother for making his education possible

Education is a very important factor in the lives of individuals but many families cannot afford to send their children to school. However, some people go the extra mile to afford sponsoring their loved one’s education.

Time has shown that family is a very important aspect of the society and anybody fortunate to have a good family has everything.

A proud South African man who graduated from the university has honoured his great-grandmother in a very touching way.

The young man who was spotted wearing his traditional attire on his graduation asked his university to bestow his degree on his great-grandma who worked her fingers off to get him an education.

This beautiful moment touched the hearts of several social media users and they took to sharing their views. Some people were impressed that the young man was very proud of his roots and showcasing his culture with his outfit.

Others were impressed with how he honoured his great-grandmother and the work she put in to get him schooled.

However, a few others explained that the event took place a year ago while others argued that it is an act that transcends time.

This will no doubt bring tears to the eyes of many.

In other news, Legit.ng reported that a brilliant Ghanaian student made history by graduating with a 5.0 GPA at Russian university.

The brilliant Ghanaian student challenged stereotypes by proving that Africa is one of the world's continents with the most intelligent people.

He added to his achievements by graduating top of his class to affirm this account.

The young Ghanaian was admitted as an international student at the Russian State Hydrometeorological University with no knowledge of the native language.
