Prayer of Nigeria saved Mr. President - Pastor whose pre-election prophecy about Buhari failed defends himself

Earlier, before the conduction of the 2019 presidential election, a prophet named Samuel Akinbodunse prophesied that if Buhari tried to seek a second term as president, he would die before the elections take place. The acclaimed man of God who is based in South Africa was vehement in his claim.

However, it would seem that despite the seeming surety of his claim, Muhammadu Buhari did not only seek a second term, he also went on to be eventually re-elected. It would be recalled that he said a young person whose name starts with S would win the election instead.

After the victory of Buhari, the prophet who had made a strong prophecy on Buhari's death took to defending himself and excusing the clear fact that his claim had failed to come to pass.

In a conversation with a media house, he stood on his ground that the prophecy had been true. However, the man said that the prayers of some men of God had helped sustain the current president of Nigeria.

According to him, the prayers of Nigeria for the president had also been instrumental in keeping him safe from evil. Samuel went on to say that he and some men of God had organises 40 days fasting and praying just so they could reverse the prophecy. He went on to quote a scriptural passage to defend his claim.

The Transitional Phase of African Poetry

The Transitional Phase The second phase, which we have chosen to call transitional, is represented by the poetry of writers like Abioseh Nicol, Gabriel Okara, Kwesi Brew, Dennis Brutus, Lenrie Peters and Joseph Kariuki. This is poetry which is written by people we normally refer to as modem and who may be thought of as belonging to the third phase. The characteristics of this poetry are its competent and articulate use of the received European language, its unforced grasp of Africa’s physical, cultural and socio-political environment and often its lyricism. To distinguish this type of poetry we have to refer back to the concept of appropriation we introduced earlier. At the simplest and basic level, the cultural mandate of possessing a people’s piece of the earth involves a mental and emotional homecoming within the physical environment. Poems like Brew’s ‘‘Dry season”, Okara’s “Call of the River Nun”, Nicol’s “The meaning of Africa” and Soyinka’s “Season”, to give a few examples,

Former Maritime Agency Boss, Buba Galadima, Accuses AMCON Of Witch-hunt After Property Takeover

A former Director-General of the Nigeria Maritime Agency, Buba Galadima, has accused the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria of witch-hunt after the agency took possession of his business and assets on Tuesday in Abuja. Galadima, an ardent critic of President Muhammadu Buhari, claimed that he did not borrow money or have unpaid debt with Unity Bank, which lodged a complaint against him and occasioned AMCON’s move on Tuesday. The properties taken over include House No. 15, Addis Ababa Crescent, Wuse Zone 4, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja and House No. 4, Bangui Street, Wuse 2, also in Abuja.  Reacting to the situation, Galadima said, “This is an attempt to disgrace and break me down. This is injustice and an attempt to humiliate me. "But I am unbreakable and they can never silence me. They sacked me and over 50 people that sleep in the apartment. "We don’t know where to go. We will remain on the streets. We will remain on the streets until God provi
