APC candidate asks Kwara to vote APC again, says PDP must be totally chased out

- Raphael Adetiba, the Kwara state House of Assembly candidate of the APC, has appealed to residents in the state to vote again for the party on Saturday, March 9

- The APC candidate also applauded the people for voting for the party in the just concluded presidential election in the state

- Adetiba said Oke-ero local government which was the only place where the PDP won needs to be taken back

Raphael Adetiba, the Kwara state House of Assembly candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has called on the people of the state to vote for party again on Saturday, March 9.

Adetiba made the appeal while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday, March 3, in Abuja.

Adetiba, who is seeking to represent Oke-ero local government in the state house of assembly, also urged the people to vote massively for the governorship and other candidates of the party during the elections

He commended the people of the state for delivering all the six House of Representatives and three Senate seats in the state to the APC.

He said that such feat should be repeated in the governorship and state house of assembly elections, stressing that the party would reciprocate the gesture.

The candidate, then, appealed to the people of his constituency to support the APC, adding that Oke-ero could not afford to be in the opposition in the state.

Adetiba said he was making the call because Oke-ero was the only local government won by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday, February 23, out of the 16 local governments in the state.

NAN reports that the governorship and the state house of assembly elections are to hold on Saturday, March 9.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) suffered another huge loss in Kwara state on Sunday, March 3, as at least 2,500 of its members dumped its fold and joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The defection is coming barely a week to the governorship and House of Assembly elections and just after presidential and National Assembly polls that got Bukola Saraki, the president of the Senate defeated.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year. This did not however, materialize. According to the release, the project will have a four to five-year execution time after the signing of the FID.
