According to Senator Sani, MACBAN has put itself in a difficult position by taking such a partisan move. To him, the group, which represents all Fulanis, should have been neutral on the matter.

Senator Sani's words come just days after Miyetti Allah announced that it had endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari for the 2019 presidential election.

The group's national president, Muhammadu Kirowa, made the announcement at its 2018 annual general meeting.
