28-year-old young man allegedly runs mad while trying to withdraw cash from ATM in Delta

- A Nigerian man has been reported to have suddenly gone mentally unstable

- The young man had been withdrawing cash from Automated Teller Machine in Delta

- It was gathered that the sad incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, December 16

Legit.ng has come across the sad story of a young man who allegedly became mentally unstable in Delta state. A 28-year-old man had reportedly gone mentally ill suddenly at Okpe Road in Sapele.

According to Vanguard, the young man had become mentally unstable while he was trying to withdraw some cash from an Automated Teller Machine.

The man identified as Jeffrey Otite had started behaving strangely around 6:30am on Sunday, December 16. It was gathered that the incident had caused a massive crowd to gather to witness it.

According to Vanguard source, the 28-year-old man had arrived at the Automated Teller Machine box in a motorcycle.

”He walked into the ATM box and the next thing we saw was Jeffrey shouting on top of his voice. He starting pulling his clothes and talking gibberish, that was what attracted passerby to the scene."

Another witness who identified himself as Onyokpe said: "He had this high fever I know his parents has been treating, so I think this is what is worrying him.”

It was gathered that the crowd was heard shouting “Ghana Burger!” Ghana Burger!”, a name allegedly to be used to describe Yahoo boys, while clapping along the chanting.

Vanguard also reported that Jeffrey was later tied up by good Samaritans before his relatives took him away in a blue Toyota Camry.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year. This did not however, materialize. According to the release, the project will have a four to five-year execution time after the signing of the FID.
