The police in Zamfara state has warned against the possession of illegal and offensive weapons during political rallies across the state. The Zamfara police command spokesperson, Muhammad Shehu, on Tuesday, February 5, said the police in the state would no longer allow the use of offensive weapons during political rallies. Premium Times reports that Shehu in a statement said the command observed with utmost dismay that despite several sensitisation most of the politicians were seen with armed supporters during such campaigns.
