Jose Mourinho and ex-Chelsea boss go head-to-head for top Serie A job

- Jose Moiurinho is now on the verge of returning to Inter Milan as manager

- The Portuguese is shortlisted alongside Antonio Cinte, who replaced him at Chelsea after his sack

- Inter Milan boss Spalletti has been under pressure this season no thanks to poor results

Jose Mourinho is on the radar of former club Inter Milan weeks after leaving Old Trafford as Manchester United manager.

According to a UK Sun report, the Portuguese boss, who was also linked with a return to Real Madrid early in the year, but reports coming out of Italy suggest the 55-year-old prefers heading back to San Siro.

Current Inter manager Luciano Spalletti is feeling the heat with the Nerazzurri struggling with poor run of results in recent weeks and are now 20 points adrift of Serie A leaders Juventus.

  1. At the last count, Inter were handed a 1-0 defeat at him by Bologna last Sunday, days after Lazio dumped the former Champions League winners out of the Coppa Italia at the quarter-finals.

Inter have also failed to win in their three league games and Italian news channel Libero suggest Mourinho’s agent Jorge Mendes is working on a move to San Siro.

Mendes has reportedly opened talks with Inter CEO Beppe Marotta over a possible return for Mourinho

Ex-Chelsea and Juventus manager Antonio Conte is also keen on replacing under-fire Spalletti as Inter boss.

Despite Conte’s interest, Mourinho, who managed Inter from 2008-2010 is also among possible candidates to replace Spalletti.

Interestingly, during his two seasons with Inter, Mouriho claimed the Serie A title tice in a role along with the Champions League in the second season.

But after winning five trophies in 24 months Mourinho moved on to Real Madrid.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Antonio Conte is linked with Inter Milan job in the Italian topflight.

Since he was axed at Chelsea Conte has been out of work as he was also interested in replacing Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.

Current Inter Milan gaffer Luciano Spalletti has been under serious pressure this season at the club after their defeat in the Coppa Italia to Lazio on penalties.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year. This did not however, materialize. According to the release, the project will have a four to five-year execution time after the signing of the FID.
