The United States of America embassy has said that its Abuja and Lagos consulate general offices would remain open despite a government shutdown. The embassy said that all consular businesses including visa appointments and interviews will take place at these offices. Senator Dino Melaye has raised the alarm over an alleged police attempt to break into his Abuja house to forcefully arrest him.
