#ENDSARS Protest Enters Day 4

The ongoing protest calling for the scrapping of the dreaded Special Anti-Robbery Squad unit of the Nigeria Police Force has entered the fourth day.

The #ENDSARS protest, which commenced on Wednesday, has spread to many states in the country.


In Lagos, protesters have been keeping vigil at the entrance of the Lagos State House of Assembly despite intimidation from the police.

The protest has been met with violence from the police in states like Abuja, Osun and Delta.

As a result of the attack by the police, some protesters were shot at while a police officer was killed in the ensueeing melee.

The police have since engaged in random arrest of youths in the state.

The #ENDSARS protest has drawn international attention after the United Kingdom urged the Nigerian Government to ensure accountability within the police.

“Significant protests over #SARS demonstrating Nigerian people’s desire for police reform. Peaceful protests are powerful. Police Act recently passed by @MBuhari provides good foundation to build more accountable community police force,” British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Catriona Laing, said.

Reports by Amnesty International recorded over 82 cases of SARS brutality from 2017 to 2020.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year. Former Maritime Agency Boss, Buba Galadima, Accuses AMCON Of Witch-hunt After Property Takeover
