After losing elections, Kingsly Moghalu blasts Nigerian youths, says they are a disappointment

- Erstwhile presidential candidate Kingsley Moghalu has stated that Nigeria youths are a huge disappointment

- He retorted this in a recent interview while talking about the recently concluded elections

- Moghalu stated that Nigerian youths will rant and rail but will not reflect their frustrations when casting votes during elections

Shortly after losing in the 2019 elections, erstwhile presidential candidate Kingsley Moghalu shared his disappointment in the process which scored him only 21, 886 around the country.

Speaking with Arise News TV, Moghalu retorted that the Nigerian youths are a huge disappointment as they never back their words with actions. Kingsley who appealed to the younger generation during his presidential campaign was left disappointed when he came out 14th in the election results.

In his words: "The biggest disappointment was with the youths. The youth vote was absent. They make a lot of noise, they rant and rail but you will not see them on the voting day. And when they vote, they don’t vote in line with their rhetoric."

Moghalu expressed his regret in the actions of the youth who he stated did not make their presence felt in the recently concluded 2019 elections.

It is true that the youth account for over 70 percent of the population in Nigeria according to reports but according to Kingsley, most of them who seem frustrated by the system refused to vote and attempt to change the status quo.

Meanwhile, Kingsley Moghalu said he will reflect on it if President Buhari offers him a political appointment.

The presidential candidate of the YPP said this in a chat with Arise News TV.

Moghalu also announced his withdrawal from partisan politics as "the elections are over."

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
