Sterling finally responds to racial abuse, opens up on how best to deal with racists

- Raheem Sterling was once again in fine form as England thumped Montenegro 5-1 in the ongoing UEFA Euro qualifiers

- The Manchester City ace was subjected to racial abuse during the clash

- Sterling has however taken to Twitter and respond to the racist abusers in a brilliant tweet

England national football team cruised to another convincing victory after thrashing Montenegro 5-1 in the ongoing UEFA Euro qualifiers on Monday night.

Two goals from Ross Barkley and one each from Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling and Michael Keane ensured Gareth Southgates men recorded yet another impressive result in about four days.

Sterling's goal made it four goals in his lat two matches for the English national team, having scored hat-trick in their 5-0 win over Czech Republic last Friday.

However, in a rather unfortunate turn of events, the Manchester City star, alongside teammate Danny Rose were subjected to racial abuse in Montenegro as fans hurled lighters on them.

Sterling, who had the last laugh has now taken to Twitter to shut down his critics with the perfect response.

The 24-year-old tweeted a photo of himself celebrating his well-taken goal during the clash by cupping his ears to Montenegro fans.

Meanwhile, fans and pundits have weighed in on the incident, with some now slamming UEFA for not doing enough to counter racism on players.

England boss, Gareth Southgate, has since confirmed the incident will be reported, adding he clearly heard racist chants directed towards his wards.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Raheem Sterling is hungry for more success with Manchester City as the 2018-19 campaign enters critical stage across Europe.

SunSport quoting Sport360 reports that the England forward is upbeat the Citizens can win the remaining three competitions they are involved this term.

At the last count, the 24-year-old Sterling has netted 19 times for the Pep Guardiola tutored-side so far, ending Tuesday’s UCL tie against Schalke as City captain for the very first time.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
