- The Los Blancos are keen to land Hazard as Zinedine Zidane’s first big transfer

- Hazard was offered a massive £300,000 a-week-deal to remain at Stamford Bridge

Real Madrid have commenced talks with Chelsea about a summer switch for £100m-rated Eden Hazard in the summer.

According to Metro, with the return of Zinedine Zidane as Real Madrid manager, the Los Blancos chiefs are keen to land Hazard as the Frenchman’s first big transfer.

Hazard was eager to move to Real Madrid last summer, alongside ex- teammate Thibaut Courtois, who eventually completed the switch, but Chelsea refused to let go of the playmaker.

The Telegraph suggest Real Madrid opened communication with Chelsea concerning Hazard’s deal moments before making public Zidane’s return as manager on Monday.

The Frenchman penned a three-year contract with the Los Blancos while Hazard is expected to inform Chelsea of his desire to move to the Spanish capital in the summer.

Hazard is a big fan of Zidane as a manager and sees the Les Bleus legend as his idol as a youngster.

Despite Chelsea facing two window transfer ban from FIFA, Real Madrid have reportedly contacted Chelsea of proposing a summer deal for Hazard.

Hazard might not make the switch if the transfer ban sees the light of the day as Chelsea can’t land a replacement.

Blues chiefs are upbeat the Court of Arbitration for Sport will rule to end the transfer suspension.

Chelsea value Hazard at £100m and have offered the Belgian star a massive deal at £300,000 a week to remain at Stamford Bridge.
