Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah took time to relax during March FIFA international break on a beach.

The 26-year-old was left out of Egypt's squad for their last 2019 AFCON Group J qualifier against Niger and a friendly game against Nigeria.

Meanwhile, Daily Mail reports that Salah embarked on the break to recover ahead of the business end of the season.

The former Chelsea and Roma star posted a picture of himself at the beach with the popular Liverpool slogan 'You Will Never Walk Alone' spelt out behind him.

The forward will be hoping to return to scoring when the league resumes later this month having gone about seven games without a goal.

He currently has 17 Premier League goals and catching up with own record set last term may be impossible with just seven matches left for the Reds.

Despite his failure to find the back of the net in the last few games, his manager Jurgen Klopp has backed the forward to rediscover his goal-scoring form adding that Sadio Mane can provide inspiration.

Salah scored 44 times in his maiden season at Anfield and although he has 20 in the current campaign, his current goalless run is the longest he has experienced since a 10-game streak for Roma in 2015-16.

But having seen Mane work hard to put things right, Klopp believes Salah, who is not playing badly, will see his luck change soon.

"Sadio played pretty much always like this but now he is always in the right spot in the right moment. In football it's sometimes like this," Klopp told the club's website.

"He is in a really good moment, of course. The only thing he did when he was not always in the right spot was work and work and work.

"That's exactly what Mo has to do, exactly the same: just work, do the right things and it will come again.

"He's just rather unlucky, where Sadio is lucky in the moment - he is in brilliant shape, that's true.

"But then, he is in the right shape and maybe a yard away from him is Mo, but somebody else scored. That's how it is, all good."

The 26-year-old has been impressive for the Reds since joining them in the summer of 2017 from Italian League side AS Roma.

He scored 32 goals and assisted 10 assists in his debut season for Jurgen Klopp's side in his first - winning the PFA and FWA Player of the Year awards.

Buhari’s Legacy Of Recessions By Fredrick Nwabufo

Fredrick Nwabufo ‘Why always Buhari?’ As it was in 1984 under General Buhari, so it is in 2016 and 2020 under President Buhari? Is it by the unfortunate hands of kismet that recession hits Nigeria every time Buhari takes charge of the country’s affairs? If the recession of the 80s under Buhari was a conspiracy by economic and political factors, to what do we attribute that of his first coming as a civilian President — and now in his second coming? Why does pestilence scourge the land, hunger ravage the population and lives lost malevolently when Buhari presides over the country? Why always Buhari? Buhari’s undoing is his wonted predilection for hierarchising ethnicity, religion and loyalty above competence. Since 1999, no President has obtrusively shown a more nepotistic aspect than Buhari. It is unarguable that the President arrays the most competence-challenged cabinet ever in the chronicle of governance in Nigeria. Yes, a recession cabinet. Fredrick Nwabufo Here is a cabin...
