Gonzalo breaks silence for the first time after sealing dream move to Chelsea this month

Gonzalo Higuain has spoken for the first time since sealing he joined Chelsea on loan from Juventus this month.

The 31-year-old joined the Premier League side on a short term loan deal until the end of this season.

Speaking on his move to the Premier League, Higuain revealed told the club's official website he was relishing the opportunity of working under Chelsea boss, Maurizio Sarri, once more.

"Maurizio Sarri is the coach who, in my career, has got the best out of me as a player," Higuain was quoted saying by the club's official website.

"He’s someone who knew how to work with me, particularly on the emotional side. That year together was fantastic and in big parts thanks to him, so coming to work with him is very important for me," he added.

Both Sarri and the striker worked together in the Serie A during the Italian's time as Napoli manager.

At the time, Higuain flourished on the pitch, notching an impressive 36 goals in 35 Serie A appearances, a feat that saw him emerge that season's top scorer in the Italian top-flight league.

His move to the Blues leaves him with a daunting task of improving the side's goalscoring tally as they push for a top-four finish in the Premier League.

He was hoping of being registered in time to face Tottenham Hotspurs in the Carabao Cup on Thursday, January 24, but deal came too late.

He could, however, make his debut against Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup on Sunday, January 27, at Stamford Bridge.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Chelsea have completed the signing of Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain on a short term loan deal till the end of the season.

The 31-year-old who spent the first half of this season on loan at AC Milan will feature for the Blues for the rest of this campaign.

While at the San Siro, Higuain found the back of the net eight times in all competitions, and he is expected to help the London club solve their goals scoring problems.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
