‘You Have Disgraced Us’ —Zamfara Govt Threatens To Sue SaharaReporters For Exposing Gifts To ‘Repentant’ Bandits

Zamfara State Governor Bello Matawalle The Zamfara State Government on Tuesday threatened to sue SaharaReporters over a publication exposing gifts given to repentant bandits by Governor Bello Matawalle. The government made the threat in a statement signed by Nura Ibrahim Zarumi, the state Commissioner for Justice. Zamfara State Governor Bello Matawalle Zarumi claimed that the publication had caused disgrace to the government but however refused to deny its authenticity. Videos Expose Lagos Policemen Assaulting UNILAG Student Over Number Plate

Videos emerged on Tuesday of the moment when power-drunk policemen dragged and assaulted a student of the University of Lagos, John Akinwale, over claims that he drove a car with “covered” number plate in the Oshodi area of Lagos State. In the videos obtained by SaharaReporters, Akinwale kept asking the policemen what his offence was, as they dragged him away, saying he was rude and had the effrontery to record their action. Malaria-like Symptoms Should Be Considered As COVID-19 – Sanwo-Olu

Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has said  malaria-like symptoms should now be considered and treated as COVID-19 until proven otherwise.  The governor said this on Tuesday, while briefing newsmen at the State House, Ikeja on the COVID-19 update in the state. BREAKING: Presidency Blasts Ondo Governor, Akeredolu Over Ultimatum To Herdsmen

The Presidency has condemned the seven-day ultimatum given to herdsmen by the Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, to vacate forest reserves, urging the governor ‘not to act outside the constitution of the country’. Akeredolu had on Monday issued a statement giving herdsmen seven days to vacate all forest reserves due to the high rate of kidnapping in the state. Nigerian Man Arrested In Thailand For Overstaying His 60-day Tourist Visa By Seven Years

Onyebuchi Johnbosco Ezedinugwu Thailand’s Immigration Police have arrested a 40-year-old Nigerian man for allegedly overstaying his visa by 2,683 days, Siam Rath newspaper reports.
