We Have Rescued 80 Katsina Students Abducted In Fresh Attack, Police Claim

The Katsina Police State Command says eighty students of Islamiyya schools in Mahuta town, Dandume Local Government Area of the state, abducted by bandits on Saturday have been rescued. Buhari’s Nominee To ICC Jury Rejected After Securing Five Out Of 110 Votes

Justice Ishaq Bello, the only Nigerian nominated for election to the International Criminal Court jury in 2020, has fluffed the country’s chances after a poor performance in the election exercise on Thursday. President Muhammadu Buhari had in June 2020 nominated Bello, the Chief Judge of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, for the contest. According to the election results made available on the ICC website, the Nigerian nominee polled 12 votes – the second-lowest – only after Milandou Prosper, the nominee from The Republic of Congo, out of 117 in the first round of the election. For candidates to be elected, they must garner two-thirds of the votes from the state parties. In the second round, Bello garnered only five votes out of 110 votes. Lagos Party Attendants Kill Guest For Collecting Food Several Times

A child christening party on Ojuwoye Street in the Mushin area of Lagos State has turned bloody after some attendants stabbed a guest to death on the claim that he collected food more than three times. The Lagos State Police Command, which confirmed the incident, said it had launched a manhunt for the killers and would do everything possible to bring them to justice. Gunmen suspected to be bandits have abducted many students of Islamiyya school in Mahuta town, Dandume Local Government Area of Katsina State. According to Katsina Post, the Islamic students were abducted on their way home after they graced a maulud procession at Unguwar Al-Kasim, a nearby village.
