We’re Sad Sanwo-Olu Denied Inviting Nigerian Army During EndSARS Crisis, General Tells Panel

Commander of 81 Military Intelligence Brigade, Victoria Island, Lagos, Brig. Gen. Ahmed Taiwo, has alleged that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu invited the military during the #EndSARS in Lagos to avoid total anarchy. Taiwo, however, said the military was not happy that the governor denied inviting soldiers to restore peace and order in the state. He disclosed this while appearing before the Lagos judicial panel on Saturday. The army commander alleged that Sanwo-Olu called on the military for support on October 20, after the #EndSARS crisis degenerated into chaos. 18 Farmers Killed In Bauchi Boat Mishap

Tragedy struck in Bauchi State when a canoe transporting 23 farmers in Zango Majiya Village capsized, leading to the death of 18 people. Although five people were rescued, the driver and one other passenger were said to be unconscious. Public Relations Officer of the state’s Police Command, Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, who announced their deaths in a statement, said a medical doctor certified the 18 persons dead. Wakil said five persons including the canoe operator were rescued unconscious while corpses have been recovered and taken to a hospital in Itas for post-mortem examination. The Nigerian Army is testifying on its involvement in the shooting and killing of peaceful #ENDSARS protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate on the 20th of October 2020. General Ahmed Ibrahim Taiwo of 81 Division Intelligence Brigade testified on behalf of the military. He confirmed a report by SaharaReporters that the military were drafted in by Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. REVEALED: How Akwa Ibom Governor, Emmanuel, Spent State Funds On Election Petition

Udom Emmanuel The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has told the Federal High Court in Lagos that the governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel, spent state funds to hire many Senior Advocates of Nigeria to represent him at the election tribunal where his electoral victory as governor was being challenged in 2015. An investigating officer of the EFCC, Abdulraman Arabo, told the court that the governor hired the immediate-past President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mr Paul Usoro (SAN), who, in turn invited other SANs to join him and that the N1.4bn legal fee paid to the SANs was drawn from the treasury of Akwa Ibom State’s account.
