Travellers To UAE Must Have COVID-19 Result, Accommodation—Nigeria Immigration Service

Muhammed Babandede The Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service, Muhammad Babandede, has announced that henceforth, travellers to the United Arab Emirates must possess confirmed return ticket, negative COVID-19 test result and valid health insurance covering the duration of stay. The Polymerase Chain Reaction test is expected to be taken within 96 hours before departure. Cambodia Police Arrest Two Nigerians Over Online Scam

Cambodia police The anti-cybercrime department of the Cambodia Police has arrested two Nigerians, Makcava Femi Wisdom, 28, and Spark Onwa, 33 over an alleged online scam. Also arrested was a 33-year-old Cambodian woman, Thon Sarem. Cambodia police General Lieutenant Neth Savoeun, the director of National Police, disclosed this in a statement on Monday. According to Savoeun, the arrest was carried out by officers led by lieutenant Chea Pove, and coordinated by the Phnom Penh court prosecutor, on October 1.  He said they were brought to the Department of Technology Crimes for processing and later sent to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court for legal action following a complaint. Ondo Poll: Confusion As SDP Candidate Supports Akeredolu, Runningmate Backs Jegede

Four days to the governorship election in Ondo State, the candidate of the Social Democratic Party, Mr Peter Fasua, has withdrawn from the race and declared his support for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu. This came a few hours after the Chairman of the SDP, Mr Dele Ogunbameru, led the chairmen of 10 other political parties to announce their support for the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr Eyitayo Jegede. Ondo Poll: CDD Expresses Concerns Over INEC’s Reliance On NURTW Members For Transportation Of Electoral Materials

Hope Dampens For Stranded Nigerian Women In Saudi Arabia As Nigerian Embassy Says It Lacks Funds To Repatriate Them

Some returnees from Saudi Arabia Stranded Nigerian women in Saudi Arabia may not be repatriated until around next January, according to a source who is familiar with the activities of Nigerian diplomatic mission. Saudi Arabia had already deported about 400 Nigerian women while as at September, 82 other Nigerians were in deportation facilities, the source said.
