At his submission before the court, Lucia said the ex-President was aware of the deal through the former Attorney-General of the Federation, Mohammed Bello Adoke, who compromised Nigeria’s interest for the oil companies. The Imo State University, Owerri, has set up a committee to investigate the authenticity of the footage circulating on the Internet in which the Head of Department of Biochemistry of the institution, Prof. Emmanuel Agumuo, was allegedly having sex with ones of his students. The HoD, who was handcuffed in the footage, was arrested by plain-clothed security men. The Nigerian government has approved N400m for the building of a perimeter fence for the University of Abuja, the institution’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdul-Rasheed Na’Allah, has said. The VC also appealed to the government to protect the university from encroachment, adding that staff and students were “living in fear of bandits.” A statement on Wednesday by the Public Relations Officer of UNIABUJA, Dr Habib Yakoob, said Na’Allah spoke during a visit by the Director, Department of Development Control of the Federal Capital Territory, Murkta Galadima, on Tuesday. INEC Unable To Provide Data On Number Of PWD Voters For Edo Poll

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has failed to collate the data of all persons with disability that are eligible to vote in the upcoming governorship poll in Edo State.  Chairman of the Joint National Association of Persons with Disability (JONAPWD), Henry Ebose, said in an interview with SaharaReporters that this would hamper the ability of the commission to provide sign interpreters at booths where deaf persons would be expected to vote, for example. He said the commission decided to use pictorial representations and visible signs instead.
