The police in Lagos have arrested another 20 demonstrators taking part in the #RevolutionNow protest ongoing across the country. This came less than one hour after the police earlier arrested at least 10 of protesters in Lagos. After the initial disruption, the protesters gathered at another location of the city to continue their demonstration against bad governance in the country. The arrested participants were marched into a waiting van and taken to a yet to be identified location. File Photo Academic activities have resumed in all secondary schools across Ondo State after the government issued a directive for the reopening.  The schools were reopened for graduating students to prepare for their external examinations scheduled for this month. Our correspondent, who visited few secondary schools in the state capital, Akure, observed that both teachers and students maintained safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The schools also provided hand washing buckets with soap and water in strategic places within their school compounds. Gunmen suspected to be bandits have killed a former Treasurer of the Nigeria Union of Journalists in Nasarawa State, Mr Benjamin Ekom. Ekom, who was also Information Officer with Akun Local Government Council, was killed at his residence at Washo Village, Nasarawa-Eggon Local Government Area of the state. His death comes barely seven days after the killing of five people in Dausu community under Toto Local Government Area. The NUJ in a statement by its Chairman and Secretary, Salihu Alkali and Sunday John respectively, condemned the killing. It described the attack on innocent residents of the state by criminal elements as one too many, calling for drastic and proactive measures to protect lives and property of residents.
