Pastor Tunde Bakare Founder and General Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has called for an end to open grazing and urged the Nigerian government to separate agricultural pastoralism from terrorist issues. Bakare who is an ally to Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, on Thursday featured on an ARISE News programme, The Morning Show and said he would bring the issue of the “obsolete” practice of open grazing to the President when the opportunity avails itself. The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, on Thursday violated the coronavirus (COVID-19) Health Protection Regulations 2021 Act recently signed into law by President Muhammadu Buhari. This is coming a few days after the President failed to adhere to the law. Buhari was spotted amidst scores of people while holding his facemask rather than have it on during the validation of his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at Sarkin Yara Ward in Daura, Katsina State. Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa Human rights lawyer, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari’s extension of the tenure of the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, is both illegal and unconstitutional. Adegboruwa, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, quoted Section 215 (1)(a) and Section 216(2) of the 1999 Constitution to state that Buhari lacks the power to extend the tenure of service of an IGP. Sunday Igboho Dami, one of the daughters of popular Fuji musician, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, has taken to her Snapchat account to lambast people donating money to Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho. On Wednesday, Igboho’s supporters set up a Gofundme page for the purpose of raising £100,000 (N51.8m) for him to buy buses to help in the movement of his men in a bid to rid the Yoruba land of killer herdsmen.
