Togo: Govt Ups The Ante Against Terror Threats

Gospel Music Association issues public Apology to Kirk Franklin for edited Dove Awards Speech

Few days ago, Grammy award winning Artist, Kirk Franklin had announced his boycott of TBN and Dove Awards, via a video on his Instagram page as he mentioned that his acceptance speech at the recently concluded awards, which shed more light on the recent cases of police brutality over the black community, was edited. Gospel Music Association (GMA) Organizers of the Dove Awards have now officially issued an apology statement over the edited acceptance speech at this year’s 50th Annual GMA Dove Awards, which was aired on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) on the 20th of October 2019. Jackie Patillo, the Association President, in an official statement wrote: “Due to our broadcast window, we had to significantly edit the Dove telecast to 2 hours, which aired Sunday, October 20th.
