Liverpool claimed their sixth Champions league title after beating Tottenham 2-0 on Saturday, June 1, at the Wanda Metropolitano.
The encounter in Madrid saw Mohamed Salah net the opener in the second minute from the penalty spot, after Spurs midfielder Moussa Sissoko was adjudged to have deliberately handled the ball with his outstretched right arm, while trying to keep out Sadio Mane's cross.
Some football buffs have since argued that the Frenchman should have known that his arm wasn't in an unnatural position wile dishing out defensive instructions.

However, Tottenham attempted to force a comeback, but Liverpool further exposed them in the closing moments through super sub Divock Origi as the reds went 2-0 up.
The Belgian forward, Origi, who replaced Roberto Firmino after 60minutes of football action, drilled his shot into bottom-right corner to send Liverpool fans into wild celebration.
And at the end of hostilities, Liverpool made up for last year's defeat to Real Madrid, but to most followers of the game, the all-English final lacked quality.
After Salah’s opener fans were looking forward to a classic, but, inaccurate shooting, wrong passes and fatigue plagued the game.
Interestingly, there were few goalscoring chances for all 90minutes, with commentators hammering on how boring the game was most times.
Liverpool supporters won't care less about how good or bad the game was, but for the neutral fan it completely failed to live up to expectations.
At the end of the encounter some football fans believed it was the worst Champions League final ever in the record books. See the tweets below.
