A former military head of state, General Yakubu Gowon, is said to have slumped during a funeral of late Major General David Akpodiete Ejoor in Delta state.
Vanguard reports that Gowon slumped mid way during an oration at the grave side of late Major General David Akpodiete Ejoor, in Ovwor-Olomu Community, Ughelli south local government area of the state.
It was gathered that following the mishap, military personnel present at the occasion made efforts to bar visual coverage of the incident as an ambulance was immediately in sight in front the special tent where it occurred.
He was immediately rushed by some top echelons of the military into the special tenth for emergency resuscitation.
Also the governor of Delta state, Ifeanyi Okowa and James Ibori, a former governor of the state were seen dashing into the tent.

Just as Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa and Chief James Onanefe Ibori, former governor of the Delta state dashed into the tenth to ensure he recovers.
Shortly after, Ibori, and Okowa was later seen coming from the special tent, an indication that the former Army General has recovered.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Gowon had claimed that three refineries were built by his government in Port Harcourt, Warri and Kaduna for domestic consumption.

Speaking at the second International Conference and Exhibition of the Oil and Gas Trainers Association of Nigeria (OGTAN) in Lagos on Monday, April 15, the former head of state added that his administration had plans to build more refineries to export refined products, instead of giving the crude to various countries.
