He said the breakup of the central emirate was done to reduce the burden of development agenda of the state to the other four emirate councils for effective delivery.
“These four Emirate Councils existed for many centuries ago. We deemed it wise to revive them in order to fast-track our development agenda. “I charge these emirs to develop interest in the education development , agriculture and security,” Ganduje said.
“We want to see you going house to house to ensure every child go to school. “We want to see you participating in the fight against insecurity because you are familiar with strangers that enter your town. You will know new faces that enter your towns and know how to tackle the security in your areas."

The governor urged all the emir’s to work harmoniously towards the development of the state.
In a related report, Kano governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, said he was not aware of the court order restraining him from creating additional emirates in the state and giving staff of office to new emirs.
The governor made this know on Saturday, May 11, while proceeding with the move to give letter of appointment to emirs of the newly created emirates at Kofar Mata Indoor Sports Hall.
Justice Nasiru Saminu, in a suit filed by one Rabiu Sule Gwarzo, gave an interim injunction directing all parties in the suit to maintain status quo pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice.
The Kano governor has, however, defied the court order and unveiled the names of the new emirs for Rano, Bichi, Gaya and Karaye.
The governor through his commissioner for information, Muhammad Garba, said he was not aware of the ruling.
