Federal government declared that it has cleared up of the Apapa gridlock and the restoration of law and order to Apapa and its environs.
This came after President Buhari ordered the immediate clearing up of the Apapa gridlock within 2 weeks.
The directive mandated the immediate removal of all trucks from the bridges and roads within Apapa and all adjoining streets leading into the Apapa axis.

The update of the president's order was shared on the verified Twitter handle of the presidency.
The tweet read: "The trucks and trailers are no longer on any part of Eko bridge, from the Alaka entrance of the bridge in Surulere.
"The trucks and trailers are no longer on the two diversions of Eko bridge to (1) Ijora 7up, at the Costain axis and (2) to Apapa at the Ijora Olopa, close to Iddo axis.
"As of Sun 26th May, the gradual movement into the Ports has moved the trucks and trailers at the Ijora Olopa axis of Iddo/Ijora Olopa road to the National Theatre gate overlooking the Lagos State water corporation at Ijora Olopa.

"The entire Costain roundabout on Funso Williams avenue inward Iponri/Surulere and the Nigeria Breweries, Iganmu axis are completely devoid of parked trucks and trailers."
Recall that Legit.ng reported that Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor-elect of Lagos state, said he would end the Apapa heavy traffic within his first 60 days in office.
The governor-elect said this during the interactive session he had with his classmate at the executive master administration class of University of Lagos held in Ikoyi, Lagos.
